Insurance and Financial Policy

At MicroSurgical Endodontics, we make every effort to provide you with the finest surgical care and the most convenient financial options. To accomplish this we work hand in hand with you to maximize your insurance reimbursement for the covered procedures. If you have any problems or questions, please ask our staff. They are well informed and up-to-date. They can be reached by phone at (617)236-7818. Please call if you have any questions or concerns regarding your initial visit. Please bring your insurance information with you to the consultation so that we can expedite reimbursement.

For your convenience we accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, personal checks and debit cards. We deliver the finest care at the most reasonable cost to our patients, therefore payment is due at the time service is rendered unless other arrangements have been made in advance. If you have questions regarding your account, please contact us at (617) 236-7818. Many times, a simple telephone call will clear any misunderstandings.

IMPORTANT: Please remember you are fully responsible for all fees charged by our office regardless of your insurance coverage. If your insurance has reached its maximum coverage for the year, you will be responsible for 100% of the fee. You will be charged your full co-pay the day services are rendered (generally 20-40% of the fee depending on the procedure and type of insurance).  All payment are due at the time of service. Your insurance will then be electronically billed by our office for the services rendered. Whatever amount your insurance does not cover, up to 100% of the fee remains your responsibility. If the insurance pays more than anticipated, you will be reimbursed for any extra charge immediately.

Unfortunately, Dental Insurance has not kept up with the times. The annual limit for coverage has not changed since the 1970’s while inflation has increased over 500% during this time! This is why your insurance coverage is less than it really should be.

Should you face an elective procedure and coverage is a factor in your decision, we can request a pre-estimate from your insurance about your coverage and co-pay responsibility.

We also provide third-party financing for patients who do not have insurance and require such assistance. Please inquire about this service if necessary.
